Kundine Ignatiussen with a hooded seal (friday27 july 1934)
Kundine Ignatiussen processes a hooded seal. This is a big seal that has a lot of meat (food for human and animal) and a big skin (tent, clothing). Processing still happens outside on the shore. These animals are usely caught in a short periode in juli (mid summer). Their size makes them difficult to process. Kundine is removing the instestines. These are cleaned and used to keep blood in. Intestines where used to make anoraks in the past. Tasiilaq, (friday) 27 july 1934.
